Among the victims was Sushil Nathaniel, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, who died while trying to protect his wife and two young children. His wife, later recounting the ordeal, spoke through tears about the trauma they endured and the courage he showed in his final moments. Several tourists returning to Mumbai from Anantnag were seen breaking down at the airport as they spoke to reporters, still visibly shaken by the events. Many struggled to describe what they had gone through, having watched a peaceful vacation turn into a nightmare.
